We turn real stories into learning that makes boundary-setting a little less daunting, and a little more natural to you.
Our story
We are Cream and Juanda. Two friends who met at our master’s, and now co-founders of BoundaryLab.
BoundaryLab began as a class project from our transformative entrepreneurship course at the Institute of Global Prosperity, UCL. The idea started with Cream’s story: despite having a wonderful early career in Thailand, she reflected on how subtle moments of boundary-crossing had affected her confidence and personal growth.
We then started listening to dozens of stories from people around us. Blurry moments during social hours. Gender stereotypes that reinforce harmful behaviours. Power plays that left people feeling small or vulnerable.
The more we listened, the clearer it became: this is a shared experience, not a personal problem.
We’re building BoundaryLab because we believe boundary-setting is a skill — one that matters deeply. People often say it comes with age or experience. And that’s true, but we don’t think anyone should have to go through years of self-doubt or invisible damage to get there. Like any skill, boundary-setting can be learned, practised and strengthened, especially when we do it together.
Now we’re on a mission to make boundary education more tangible, more accessible, and a little less taboo. Cream leads on overall content and strategy, partnerships, and outreach — she’s the one connecting the dots and improving BoundaryLab by 1% each day. Juanda oversees product, design, and platform development. He’s the brain behind the platform you’re seeing now, and all the invisible bugs he’s already fixed in the backend too.

Our vision
We imagine a world where boundary-setting isn’t seen as overreacting, being too sensitive, or too much, but as something necessary and deeply courageous. A world where people, especially women and marginalised voices, have a clearer personal code to recognise when something doesn’t feel right, and a tool to navigate their unique situations.
We dream of a future where this kind of learning becomes second nature — where conversations about boundaries happen in workplaces, classrooms, and around dinner tables alike. Where boundary-setting is no longer an afterthought, but something we grow intentionally, in ways that feel personal to each of us.
Our core values
Learning together through shared experiences and mutual support.
Creating judgment-free spaces for vulnerable conversations.
Evidence-based tools and resources for personal growth.
Building confidence to set and maintain healthy boundaries.
What we do
BoundaryLab is a free online learning platform that helps young adults practise setting personal boundaries in response to everyday subtle mistreatment. We turn real stories into interactive learning tools.
While we’re currently focused on boundary-setting in the workplace, our long-term vision is broader. We’re building toward tools and workshops that support boundaries in all parts of life. We start with experiences common to young adults, but will expand to diverse voices across age, gender, and culture. Education that feels deeply human, and urgently needed.

How we do it
We didn’t want to be just another static training where you click through an onboarding checklist. Or a textbook article of what to do and what not to.
Instead, we draw from real, lived experiences shaped by gender, power, and culture. And we use intentional design to help people reflect, learn and practise in low-pressure ways. There’s no right answer here — just small, human steps towards more confidence and clarity.
